A veteran journalist and PR.expert, have pleaded with the students to shelve the plan in the interest of the nation.
Elder Otori Ozigi Samuel Ochetengwu avered that the protest would be counterproductive as hoodlums may likely highjack it to unleash mayhem and terror on innocent people and property.
He called for dialogue between the federal government and the leadership of NANS.on the way forward in the overall interest of the students in the country.
He called on the federal government to make University education free for all the students since there is enough money in the Kitty arising from the removal of fuel subsidy.
He advised President Tinubu to shelve all white elephant projects like the proposed super high speed road from Calabar to Lagos, projected to cost humongous billions of naira when completed.
According to elder Ozigi such money can be used to fund free University education in the country.
