Lokoja, Kogi State – In a momentous celebration of Kogi State’s 33rd anniversary, Hajiya Hamidat Onota Adams, Director General of the Hajjo Movement for Ododo 2023, received a prestigious award during the Nigerian Post Annual Lecture and Awards 2024. The event, themed “Sustaining Kogi’s Unbroken Unity – Prospects and Possibilities, This House Must Not Fall,” recognized individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the development of the state.

During her acceptance speech, Hajiya Hamidat expressed profound gratitude to the organizers, stating, “This award is rewarding and motivates us to continue working towards the growth of society.” She underscored the necessity of collective efforts in fostering unity and progress within Kogi State.

“I want to give God the glory for the gift of life and good health. I dedicate this award to my beloved husband, Engr. Adams Onota, Chairman of ICC for Ododo 2023. His unwavering support has instilled in me values of humility, hard work, dedication, honesty, and a passion for the development of Kogi State. May Almighty Allah continue to bless him,”

In her address, Hajiya Hamidat emphasized the crucial role of unity in achieving sustainable development, noting that collaborative efforts are essential for progress.
