The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources Engr Bashiru Gegu has described the recent appointments of Ward Special Assistants across the 239 Ward’s of the State by Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as another victory for Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo and for the APC.
The Commissioner made the disclosure in a congratulatory message to the newly appointed Ward Special Assistants to the Governor on their recent appointment, pointing out that Gov. Ododo has once again win the hearts of the people.
Engr. Bashiru said the initiative would deepen representation and leadership at the grassroots, described the appointment as involving the grassroots in the day to day running of administration.
The Commissioner urge the Ward Special Assistants to discharge their duties with diligence, dedication and patriotism, pointing out that the essence of their appointments is for the administration to get feedback from the grassroots.
He further add that it will also ensure that the administration of Gov Ododo is felt at the grassroots in terms of ensuring that the dividends of democracy reaches every nook and crannies of the State.
While thanking Gov. Ododo for his sincere leadership and his friendly disposition to driven grassroots policies since assumption of office, the Commissioner described Gov. Ododo as one who has been positively doing the unusual in terms of meeting with the wishes and aspirations of the people.
Engr. Bashiru urged the Ward Special Assistants from Kogi LGA in particular to justify their appointments with hard work, total submission and commitments to the APC led administration by overwhelmingly voting for the party in the October 9 Local Government Election, assuring that the APC will clear all seats in the Local Government Area.
