
Nationwide Protest: No Protest in Kogi, As Youths, CSOs Shun Protest.

Reports from our Correspondents’ indicate that youths, civil rights organizations have shun the planned protest.
Nigerian Post reports that most of the strategic areas in Lokoja the Kogi State capital were deserted as the nationwide protest against bad governance gets underway.
Flashpoint areas such as Ganaja Junction, Government House Road, show ongoing business and office activities.
Paparanda and NATACO were barricaded by security agents of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, local vigilantes, and Federal Road Safety Corps.
It was observed that some of the shops in Lokoja were however under lock and key over fear of attack in the event of protest.
As of 11;03 am, motorists, commercial motorcyclists and tricycle riders were going about their daily activities.
