Gov. Ododo Passionate, Committed to War against Drug Trafficking, Abuse – Comr. Richard Otitoleke
“The Kogi State government under the leadership of my Principal His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is passionate and committed to the fight against the menace of Drugs abuse and trafficking in Kogi and has mandated all stakeholders to synergize in mitigating this social vices”
This assurance was made known on Tuesday (today) by the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor On Drug Rehabilitation Comrade Richard Otitoleke at the sensitization walk against illicit drugs trafficking and substance abuse.
He noted that the collaboration with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA and other stakeholders is vital towards realizing this objective.
Comr. Richard added that the Kogi State Governor is also committed to the drug rehabilitation project, especially on the youths, to ensure those who are under drug addiction or the other go through the rehabilitation process to ensure their balanced mental health, that will enable them to be reintegrated back to the society for productive living.
The sensitization walk is in continuation of the lined up events to commemorate the United Nations World Drug Day tomorrow 26th June,2024, organized by the Kogi State government led by the commissioner for Youths and Sport Development. Hon. Monday Aridaojo and Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor On Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking Eunice Achimigu, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor On War Against Drug Trafficking, Hon. Mustapha, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor On Drug Rehabilitation Comrade Richard Otitoleke, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor On Drug Abuse Hon. Adori Tijani, in conjunction with the Kogi State Command of NDLEA led by Commander Yahusa Umar Mustapha.
