Ebonyi Lawmaker Vows To Tackle Youths Restiveness, Poverty, Unemployment

The member representing Abakaliki North Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon. Victor Chidi Nwoke has vowed to tackle youths restiveness, poverty, unemployment in his constituency before he bows out of office.

He stated this while addressing his party supporters in Abakaliki, The State Capital.

The lawmaker who appreciated the youths of Izzi clan, ward party chairmen, support groups for rejecting the financial inducements of his opponent and stood by him throughout the struggle which gave him victory at the polls, assured to bring dividends of democracy to the people.

He further lauded notable stakeholders in the State especially her predecessor Hon. Frank Okpo and other political party candidates including Labour Party and APGA for the key roles they played to ensure his mandate was not stolen, promised not to disappoint them.

He noted that the massive supports witnessed during the struggle was a clear indication that his people wants him to represent them.

He promised to prioritize education by sponsoring youths into institutions of higher learning and as well engaged heath professionals to be checking the health status of his constituents especially aged men and women for optimal performances.

He advised youths in the Constituency to shun indulging into cultism or any other illegal group and engage themselves meaningfully while expressing his readiness to harness talents among the youths and liaise with National Assembly members to secure jobs for them in the Federal establishments.

He reassured to make the interest and welfare of his constituents his utmost priority while soliciting their continued support and solidarity to take the constituency to the greater height.

Recall that the lawmaker (PDP) contested against the younger brother to the immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State Hon. Maxwell Umahi who was the candidate of APC and the election was declared inconclusive which led to rerun but eventually having secured highest votes cast, he was declared winner of the election.
