….promises to rescue Kogi State from APC and to move the State forward
Leading aspirant for the Kogi State PDP 2023 Governorship ticket, Barrister Kabiru Usman has in a new month message charged Kogites to give him their support ahead of the forthcoming Kogi State PDP Governorship primary election as he explains that he is the most viable option that can help rescue the State from the APC and to move the State forward.
In a newsletter to the good people of Kogi State he wrote;
“I welcome all fellow Kogites to the month of April. In this month of April, we take that first step in our bid to rescue our dear Kogi State from the hands of the APC and all those that have taken it hundreds of steps backwards in the past 7 years.
“Our primary election in the PDP is that first step in our bid to rescue our dear Kogi State and I am in the race to clinch the PDP ticket to lead the charge in this much-needed rescue mission of ours as a State.
“Of course, it is no longer news that the APC has held our dear State captive in the past 7 years with large-scale bad governance and monumental failure of governance on almost every front and in terms of virtually every index of governance and it is only via the ballot can we collect back our dear Kogi State from the APC, the party that has done this badly to our dear Kogi State and November Governorship election offers that very opportunity which is the first since 2019, as we all know that governorship elections happen only once in 4 years. So, this is our chance to rescue Kogi State from APC’s chokehold and we must not fail at it, by the special grace of God.
“Therefore as I seek the ticket of my party, the PDP, humbly, I will be needing your prayers and support every step of the way.
“In the days ahead, I will be coming to each and everyone of you to consult you for your support in the build up to the PDP primary election.
“I know you have delegates of my party, the PDP, around you and I will be most grateful if you can help me convince each and every one of them to vote for me as I am the most viable option to help rescue our dear State from APC if I am nominated to be the PDP candidate for the November Governorship election of our dear State.”
Furthermore, he said “together, you and I will do this job of rescuing our dear Kogi State from APC and from backwardness and we will move the State forward to the promised land where all Kogites are able to be prosperous as we launch our intended policy of good governance and development across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State after I have been elected Governor of the State by your own votes in November.
“It all starts with me needing to win the primary election of my party, the PDP. I will be counting on your support for my candidacy towards the primary election. It comes up on April 13/April 14. I will be keeping in touch often. Thanks in positive anticipation. Happy new month once again.”
