Hon Afishetu Braimoh, the affable Edo State commissioner of Business, Trade, and Cooperatives is making the headline once again for all the positive reasons.
She scored another major feat with her listing among the 50 most inspiring women in Nigeria in 2023
The listing was carried out by one of the leading financial newspaper publications in the country, The Business Day, as part of the International Women’s Day, IWD, celebration to highlight the positive contributions of the womenfolk in the development of society
Hon Afie’s listing in the elite group of 50 most inspiring women who are making priceless contributions did not come as a surprise. The American-trained project management expert has shown uncommon verve and passion in the discharge of her duties as a commissioner in the past year
Instructively, Hon Afie is joining the elite league of accomplished Edo women who have been accorded national and international recognition such as the likes of Mrs. Ifueko, a renowned tax consultant; late Mrs. Franca Afegbua, the first woman to be elected a Senator representing the then Bendel north.
Hon Afie Braimoh’s acuity in the diverse areas of business and project management, spanning finance, energy, agro-allied, hospitality, technology, and media, all garnered during her more than 20-year work spell in Europe and the US, provided the scaffold on which she probably leveraged upon to successfully push the “Made in Edo” policy of the state government as well as other tough tasks she has been saddled with
