As the race for who flies the All Progressive Congress party (APC) ticket in Kogi State gubernatorial elections takes a centre stage, it is germane that the progressive type of leadership witnessed under His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello be sustained.
There is one man, who has proven beyond reasonable doubts that he is the best man for Kogi job. The man who has demonstrated that to be an effective leader, one must posses self-confidence, strong communication skills with innovative thinking, and perseverance in the face of failure and openness to change.
That man is Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi State and the Director-General of Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council.
Pharmacist Asuku has the political acumen and has gained supports across all political divides. He is indeed a vibrant, effective and intelligent politician whose love for growth and development is obvious.
Like it’s said in a sane climes, that the finest gift a leader can give to his subordinates is a sense of belonging. Governor Yahaya Bello who has been changing the narratives of the ugly trends in the state thought it is wise to open the Governorship seat for contests to all across the various districts.
Governor Bello opened the rare opportunity for every Kogite, irrespective of his or her gender, religion or tribe; and the man, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku who has shown interest in the Gubernatorial race has consulted, obtained, filled and submitted his intent and nomination forms.
The common prayers in the lips of Kogites now is “God should give us a competent and detrabilized man like Asuku” who is a true replica of his Boss.
Power they say, belongs to God and the voice of the People is the Voice of God. By this assertion, it is correct to say that God has Spoken through the people of Kogi State. Kogites believe in Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku lies the future of the state, hence their wish.
Few out of many of Governor Yahaya Bello legacy projects include the education system that is functional, the roads that are in good condition, kogi women given opportunity to serve as public officers, the safe environments for the people and investors, the youths who are productively engaged and employed, and the traditional rulers that are placed in their rightful positions.
Pharmacist Asuku is that one man Kogites vouch to believe in the New Direction ideology and capable of consolidating knowing that he has been part of the system from the inception led by his mentor, Governor Yahaya Bello till date.
If all these developments and initiatives must be sustained, the man that is best fit for the job is Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku. He is Indeed no doubt but a round peg that is best fit for the round hole.
