Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital stood still for the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Wednesday as he staged a mega rally to drum support for his aspiration.
The APC’s presidential candidate arrived the venue of the rally in company of his running mate, Kashim Shettima, Gov. Yahaya Bello and other top National party faithful.
Massive crowd thronged the venue of the rally to drum support for the APC’s presidential candidate with the venue filled to capacity, the field also taken over, amidst chanting of JAGABAN.
The rally, held at the Lokoja Township Stadium drew a massive crowd of supporters who defied the scorching sun, with the APC Presidential Flagbearer disclosing that he knows the road to development that will bring prosperity and development to the nation.
Tinubu who made a grand entry into the stadium amidst wild jubilation, with thousands of supporters chanting the APC, assured that the sacrifice made by the people of Kogi State will not go in vain, urged them to multiply there determination by voting for the APC Flagbearers at all levels.
The APC Presidential Flagbearer says he is a promise keeper, assured that the socio economic challenges faced by Nigerians will be a thing of the past if he is elected.
Tinubu disclosed that he remains the guarantee to the revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel Company for the much desired industrial revolution of Nigeria, promised to make Kogi State an industrial hub in view of it rich deposit of natural resources.
The APC Flagbearer promised a flourishing education system for the country, with agriculture made the mainstay, promised to take the comparative advantage Kogi State is blessed with in Agriculture to make the State a food basket.
While promising to forever respect Kogi people for the honor and respect done to him by coming out enmass to welcome him, described the mammoth crowd that received him as unprecedented, assured that under his Leadership Nigeria and Kogi State will make the desired progress, promised he will fulfill his promises to the people.
Tinubu urged Kogi people to vote for the APC in the forthcoming general election, tasked them to be vigilant as well as strive to protect there votes, insisting that he remains the hope for the Prosperity of a secured future for Nigeria.
In his remarks, Gov. Yahaya Bello said Kogi state would witness more progress with Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu as the president of the country.
Gov. Bello called on the people of the state to vote for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for continued development of Kogi state.
He further said with the support of President Muhammadu Buhari, his administration has tackled problems bedeviling the state, especially in the education and healthcare sectors.
He however, said with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as president, the people of Kogi state would enjoy more dividend of democracy.
“Party faithful, I urge you to support and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The progress we have in this state will be continued with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
“We still want to thank Mr President. We appreciate his efforts and the support he has been giving this government for the progress of kogi state. You all know what we have been doing in this state.
Don’t allow the party of people of dubious characters to come back into this state and Nigeria.
“You need to continue to support this party at all levels. President Muhammadu Buhari has done well. We need to build on his success. No person could have done what he has done, despite the economic downturn, We must sustain this growth consistently. That will be continued by our in-coming team led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
He noted that people of the state came out to welcome the presidential campaign team because of the love everybody have for Tinubu.
