We Are Impressed, You Have Done Well, Kogi NUJ Chairman, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh Commends Gov. Bello.


The Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, says it will continue to hold the Kogi State Government and its officials accountable to the people, expressed satisfaction with the infrastructure development in the State under the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration.

Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh, State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council made the disclosure after a working tour of projects executed by Gov. Yahaya Bello as part of activities a week long activities marking the Administration’s seven years anniversary, praised the excellent performances of the Gov. Bello’s administration.

The NUJ led by its Chairman, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh along with members embarked on a tour of major projects completed and are being executed by Gov. Bello’s administration, expressed satisfaction that the administration has met the yearning and aspirations of Kogi people in critical sectors.

The NUJ members who visited completed and ongoing projects in the state for an on the spot assessment of Gov. Bello’s administration,  the State Chairman notes with excitement that the Gov. Bello’s administration has done well, described the achievements in the health, education and other sectors as excellent, lauded the infrastructure that has been put in place.

While pointing out that the Reference Hospital Okene and other health institutions built by Gov. Bello are world class, Comr. Adeiza added that the health facilities would  help in service delivery, as well as check the issues of medical tourism.

Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh described the ongoing construction at the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara, several already completed projects in the institution established by the administration as another justification that the priority placed on education by the Gov. Bello’s administration is deliberate, lauded the GYB Model Science Secondary School initiative as a watershed.

The NUJ Chairman explained that the tour of Gov. Yahaya Bello’s legacy projects is in line with the media’s constitutional role of holding Government and its officials accountable to the people, pointing out that it was a decision taken at the state Congress of NUJ.

The NUJ Chairman said the visit to the project sites is to assess the achievements, policies and programmes of the Gov. Bello’s administration, added that it is another avenue in deepening democracy through accountability, expressed satisfaction with the achievements met on the ground.

” We are impressed with the visit to the major projects executed by the present administration. We visited Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, GYB Model Science Secondary School, Ganaja Flyover, Confluence University Science and Technology and Reference Hospital, Okene and we collectively agreed that the governor has done very well”, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh said.
