In a bid to give to the society the God sent message to the people, the Founder and General Overseer of Shalom City International Church of Christ, Idatochi-Ogaminana, Apostle Joseph Bajeh has organized free medical service to add to well being of the people for good and better living.
Addressing the church members and other participants at the commencement of the medical service on Tuesday 20th December, 2022 at the church premises said the Lord will heal the sick and ill where he commended the A.A. Eye Foundation, Ilorin for coming to handle the free medical service.
He appealed to the people who came to benefit from the service through radio announcement in Jatto FM to cooperate with the doctors and nurses that were available for successful exercise.
Apostle Joseph Bajeh appreciated God for using him to touch people’s life positively where his religious evangelism has started manifesting in people’s way of doing things and life activities.
He described the exercise as part of the church social responsibility to add value to people’s life in addition to proper religious upbringing of the people and assured that the programme will be sustained.
Speaking, the team leader of the A.A. Eye Foundation, Dr. Abdulazeez Sadiq, stated that the Free Medical Service was to further rekindle the hope of the hopeless and down trodden people in the society to access health care delivery.
He maintained that cataract and glaucoma operation and other eye related ailment will be treated and handled professionally as the church already paid for the service.
Dr. Abdulazeez Sadiq reminded the people to cooperate maximally with the medical team for better service delivery that will stand the test of time and commended the church Pastor, Apostle Joseph Bajeh for taking the bill by the horns for the novel job done to Ebira people in evangelism and church social responsibility service.
There were many testimonies before the beneficiaries of the exercise in the church Jatto radio programme on Wednesday night of 21st December, 2022. The beneficiaries that testified included Ibrahim Maliki Oyiza (Eye Cataract) from Ogaminana, Mr. Sheidu Sanni from Obehira, Sadetu Salami (Nagazi) and Jimoh Samuel (Okene).
Nurse Helen Joseph who was the head of the science and laboratory section confirmed that over 180 people were tested in various ailments and referred to the Doctor for treatment.
The three days free medical service catered for 287 people with various health challenges including Eye operation.
