The Cross river State Commissioner for aviation,Rt Hon.Dr Jake Otu Enyia has been inducted into the Ebony Herald Hall of Fame and Dignity 2022.The Nigerian post has learnt.
Rt Hon. Enyia was inducted alongside other eminent Nigerians in an award ceremony organized by the Ebony Herald international Magazine and publishers with a theme,”2023:of Politicking, Religion, Ethnicity and insecurity, what is the way forward? and a book presentation titled “the dream of our founding fathers:”.held at the Grace-Bliss event Center, Silver mall Sagwari Dutse, federal Capital territory (fct),Abuja, Wednesday November 17,2022.
Speaking to the media shortly after the investiture, Dr Jake said he was elated and humbled by the honour accorded him by the Ebony Herald international Magazine and publishers, he applauded the media organization for painstakingly beaming their seachlight on the aviations ministry in Cross river State to identify him and recognize the little efforts he has made in developing aviation in the State, adding that he would remain Committed and dedicated to the service of the State, the Country and humanity in general.
The former lawmaker lauded the Governor of Cross river State,His Excellency,Sen.Prof.Ben Ayade for his giant stride in the state, particularly, the aviation sector, which ordinarily exist in the exclusive legislative list, but that, the idealistic nature and disposition of the Governor coupled with his drive for development and exellence and also acknowledging the fact that, effective and functional aviation had been the bane of industrialization, and that tourism today is predicated on aviation, so, the Governor Ben Ayade led Government, had through executive pronouncements created and domesticated aviation in Cross river State, which was very exceptional and highly commendable, he buttressed.
Rt.Hon. Dr Enyia who bagged an award as a trailblazer in the aviation industry, dedicated the award to Governor Ben Ayade, noting that ordinarily, the Governor ought to have be the one to receive the award,he added.
in his words, “with all amount of sincerity, my Governor, Sen, Prof Ben Ayade supposed to be the one receiving this award, but now that you have bestowed me with this award, with every level of sincerity ,I dedicate this award to him because he laid the foundation upon which this award was given to me”.
Speaking further,Rt.Hon.Enyia said today Cross river State is part and parcel of the Nation’s aviation industry, the Governor has established a formidable state of the art airline, and aviation is been practiced in Cross river State today, saying
that his duty was to drive the policy direction of the industry.
Speaking earlier, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the Ebony Herald international Magazine and publishers, Dr.Lai Gidado noted that, the significance of the award ceremony which has now become an annual event, was aimed at encouraging hardwork and exellence, and to also preach the greatness and unity of Nigeria and the need for it existence as an indivisible political entity.
Continuing,Dr Gidado buttressed that the need to identify some of the challenges bedeviling the Nation’s drive to greatness and to proffer workable solution also underscore the importance of the award ceremony.
