The Forum of Heads of Department, Education and Social Services in the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State have lauded the appointment of Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani as the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The commendation was made by Pastor James Tuesday at the Unity hall of the Ministry in Lokoja in a reception organized in honour of Dr. Habibat Tijjani.
Pastor James Tuesday described Dr. Habibat Tijjani’s elevation to the coveted position of permanent secretary as God’s destiny at work with quotation from Jeremiah 1 chapter 5 from the Holy Bible.
He described the permanent secretary as a professional to the core, forthright, straight forward with high level of sincerity, dexterity and commitment to a worthy cause in her public and private life.
Pastor James Tuesday who is the Treasurer for Yagba East Local Government, maintained that since the elevation of the New Permanent Secretary as Director, Finance and Accounts, Acting Permanent Secretary and eventual confirmation, as permanent secretary. Dr. Habibat Tijjani was Okene Local Government Treasurer where she performed creditably that earned her the present position.
In release written, signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja by the Head of Department, Education and Social Services for Ajaokuta LGA, Mallam Obeito S. Hassan; Pastor James Tuesday stated that Dr. Habibat Tijjani’s appointment was well deserved and wished her more success in life.
Speaking at the occasion, the DLG for Ankpa LGA, Prince Shaibu Usman who stood in for the DLG Forum Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Salihu prayed to God to guide and protect Dr. Habibat Tijjani for untiring effort to impact positively on the life of the people.
He added colour to the occasion through breaking of Kolanut and songs of praise in Igala and told the Permanent Secretary not to be deterred in her quest to serve humanity meritoriously.
Barrister J.S Ihimonih, the Director General Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), in a remark, appreciated the Heads of Education Department for the role they play as teachers that impact knowledge and scarified alot to better the lots of others. The Director General of B.P.P commended the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for considering Dr. Habibat Tijjani worthy to serve in the present capacity.
He stated that Dr. Habibat Tijjani’s appointment continued to receive accolade because of her penchant for success, love, focus, commitment and ability to excel inspite mountains.
Barrister J.S Ihimonih maintained that he was optimistic that the permanent secretary will continue to be exemplary in her position for the goods of the ministry for Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs and Kogi State.
