The attention of Hon. Sunday Karimi campaign organization has been drawn to a news item titled: 2023: Why We Can’t Cast Our Votes For Sunday Karimi – Lokoja Koto APC Patriotic Support Group as a figment of the imagination of the author of the writer and sponsors.
In a statement issued by Olutoyese Ibitoye Esq, said if there is any where the aspiration of Hon. Karimi is being embraced wholly and passionately, irrespective of political party affiliation, is in Lokoja/Kogi LGA, assured that with the in roads made by the APC Flagbearer, expressed optimism of victory.
While the Karimi campaign organization expresses confidence that genuine reconciliation made in APC has yielded results, wondered why some mischief makers could still come under a non existent alledged group of aggrieved members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi West Senatorial District, to the extent alledging that they have withdrawn their support for the party’s senatorial candidate.
For Hon Sunday Karimi, the effort to create a picture of disenchantment is vague, malicious and unfortunate, urged his supporters and members of the APC to discountenance the news item.
The Statement notes with emphasis that Hon Sunday Karimi remains the best choice and candidate for the party in Lokoja/Kogi(Koton Karfe) Federal Constituency, said aside his wide acceptance, having been tested and can be trusted as a two time Lawmaker, won the APC Senatorial ticket with a landslide in a free and fair Party Primaries, with all the participants accepting the outcome of the election.
While the selling point of Hon. Karimi, qualities that have endeared him to the people is his simplicity, accessibility, openness to all that crosses his path irrespective of ethnic, religion or political affiliation, it is unfortunate that the opposition political parties having come to the realization that the February General Election has been won by the APC Flagbearer, have now chosen to embark on a a campaign of calumny.
While the Hon. Karimi campaign organization wish to call on the likes of Hon Danladi Musa, though a fictitious name, to join in the moving train as it is becoming crystal clear that there is no stopping Hon. Karimi in 2023 going by the wide acceptance his aspiration has elicited.
While assuring that Hon. Karimi would continue to make himself accessible to the people of Kogi West, it is laughable and untrue to cloth Hon. Karimi with the adjectives of being proud, arrogant and egocentric person who does not allow electorate access to him, it is on record that while in the House of Representatives for eight years, Hon. Karimi was visible, always with his people, has constituency projects that can be verifiable in all Communities of Yagba Federal Constituency, reason why the acclaimed joint assessment by the fictitious group remains a figment of the sponsors and authors imagination.
For Hon. Karimi, his relationship with not only the key political actors in Lokoja/Koto Federal Constituency is not only cordial, this is a man who’s aspiration as we speak amongst the people of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, not minding party divides places, him as the most acceptable candidate, by the Grace of God, would win the February 2023 General Election.
Hon. Karimi is a true democrat and one whose doors are always open to the people. His office, House both in Abuja and Yagba, have consistently being open to all without any iota of discrimination even before his venture into politics.
We are surprised that the author’s of the write up will condescend so low to see his aide, Hon. Sanjo, who is very hardworking and diligent in carrying out his duties and has never turned down any reasonable request for access to the Senatorial Candidate to be an issue. By stopping so low, the author’s of the news item have clearly shown their worth.
The objective of the promoters of this false information is to create the impression that the All Progressive Congress is divided amongst itself and to dent the rising public profile and image of Hon. Karimi as the 2023 Election draws closer. Unfortunately, they failed in there attempt as the write up has helped soar Hon. Karimis popularity.
We urge all indigenes and citizens of Kogi West Senatorial District to ignore the news and elect Hon. karimi Sunday Steve as the Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District in 2023.
