The Project Coordinator, Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, has been described as a rare breed personality, always focused, with her eyes always on the goal.
The Chief of Staff to Kogi Government, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku made the remarks while presenting an award to Barr. Ladi on behalf of Stewardship News Magazine today. The Project Coordinator was honored with the award of the Most Distinguished Woman in the area of Rural Development in Kogi State.
The honour was part of activities lined up for Stewardship Global News Limited 2022 Special Public Lecture and Award Ceremony with the theme: A New Nigeria is Possible.
While pointing out that though very unassuming, he described the results from the implementation of the NEWMAP projects in the State as unprecedented, said the quality of the projects remains unrivaled.
The award by the Stewardship News Magazine is in view of the outstanding contributions of Barr. Ladi in controlling land degradation, erosion control, with outstanding work said to have been carried out by the Project Coordinator across the State.
Presenting the award, Pharm. Abdulraheem Jamiu Asuku described the project coordinator as a valuable asset, praised her for bringing sanity to the environment, says the present administration is proud of your exploits and the Kogi State Government is proud of your positive legacies that has made our environment friendly and healthy for living.
The Chief of Staff urged her to allow the award spur her to doing more in ACReSAL, pointing out that, ‘ I have no doubt in my mind, that like ever before, you will Kogi State proud”.
