A member of Maiyaki Family in Kupa community, Pharm. Dauda Kabir Isa has said Kupa is one of the most peaceful community in Kogi State.
He stated this in Lokoja yesterday when responding to claims that the vacuum left by the demise of his late father who was the paramount ruler of the kingdom would lead to breakdown of law and regulations.
According to him, the people of Kupa community are peace loving community that have been bonded together by blood and history, he dismissed any conflicts or crises in Kupa land since the dead of his father three months ago.
He commended the administration of governor Yahaya Bello who has done a lot for the community since assumption of office.
Pharm Kabir said governor Bello security measures across the State has paid off, saying Kogi State is the most secured state in the country.
He added ” Gov Bello has done a lot for my community in terms of security and development, it’s on record that my people struggled for many years right from the time of kwara state for first class without success until the coming of Gov. Bello who upgraded my father to first class status.
“We remain grateful to him and my people will always support any of his course anytime any day”. He said.
He called on the people of Kupa community to remain calm and law abiding, pending the selection and announcement of a substantive Maiyaki.
