Beer vendors in Niger State have been told to adhere strictly to the conditions of operation or face permanent closure of their business premises.

The Chairman of Niger State liquor licensing Board Alhaji Ayuba katako made the disclosure in an interview in minna.
The Chairman said that Beer vendors are only allowed to operate within the time frame as stipulated in their license of operation.
According to the Chairman, some Criminals use beer joints as hideout to perpetrates their basterdly acts at night which is unacceptable.
He stated that the board has carried out operations in some Local Government areas namely Suleja, kontagora, Bida and Chanchaga.
He warned those Vendors found wanting or had their joints sealed or license revoked to desist from the business or be made to face the full wrath of the law.
He stressed that liquor is only allowed to be sold in lincesed area and any person found to have violated the order if caught would be prosecuted or have his properties confiscated by the government.
He then called on the vendors to always reports to the law enforcement agents any person or persons suspected to be of questionable characters in their beer joints to the law enforcement agents for necessary action.
