The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Command Headquarters, Benin, comprising Edo and Delta State Police Commands, AIG Lawan Tanko Jimeta, psc,has advised his men to shun the rumored strike action by members of the Rank and File on 26th March, 2022.
AIG Lawan Tanko Jimeta,stated this yesterday while having interactive session with the Officers and Men of the zone in Benin City.
The AIG charged members of the Inspectorate, Rank and file to shun the rumored strike action by members of the Rank and File on 26th March, 2022.
He advised the junior officers to remain committed, dedicated and loyal to the Nigeria Police Force, while exhibiting high level of professionalism and eschewing all acts of mutiny.
According to him, ” the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba,is very much committed to the welfare of the Police and is working assiduously to ensure that salary increment and other allowances approved by the Federal Executive Council is speedily implemented.”
Jimeta, also assured the Officers and Men, ” that plans for the adequate distribution of kits, operational equipments and other accoutrements to all personnel, renovation of Barracks and better cooperative facilities to all serving Police Officers have been concluded.”
He urged members of the public, particularly in Edo Delta States to go about their lawful duties without fear as the Police in the States will continue to discharge their duties as expected, ensuring public safety, protection of lives and property of all citizens of the aforementioned states….
