Lokoja, Kogi State, has called on the Government to urgently fast track the process of repairs ongoing in the Lokoja, Greater Water.
Recall that following some brakeage leading to heavy loss of treated water, the authorities of the Greater Water Works embarked on the repairs and replacement of the broken down pipes.
But in a statement, issued to Newsmen, Comr Idris Miliki said for the past 30 days or so, there’s no water in lokoja, the State capital.
The activists said despite the Rivers Niger and Benue located and confluencing in the State, described it as regrettable, unfortunate and condemnable for the people to lack water.
According to him, ” what does a government exist for if it can not provide water for it’s citizens. We call the governor of the state, Alh. Yahaya Bello and his government to put machinery in place to give the people who elected him water as soon as possible”…. Continue reading
