… DISTRIBUTES TEXTBOOKS TO ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

The Member House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Customs & Excise, Hon. Leke Abejide paid waec fees for all the students across his constituency set to write the examinations for 2021/2022 including all private schools with administrative charges.

The House of Rep. Member, Hon. Leke Abejide has been doing this, this year’s payment made it the 4th payment in his constituency. The member launched the 4th phase of payment and presentation of Bank drafts to school principals in each local government of his constituency, the payment has been increased by the Board of Examination Council of Waec from 13,000 to 18,000 with the administrative charges, he also initiated a campaign of at least 2 textbooks to one child, which was also handed over to the Education Secretary the three local governments in Yagba that he represents.

Leke Abejide, Chairman, House Committee on Customs & Excise said the initiative of at least “Two Textbooks to One Child came from his quest to also improve education and make provisions for books to further help the students.

All students in private and public schools across Yagba Federal Constituency are beneficiaries of the payment through the Rep. Member. The member noted that most pupils lack instructional materials, “no books for most of these primary school pupils to modify them on what they’ve been taught, at this digital age and time we know education is a lifetime investment” saying that the future is here and we have to build prospect for the young ones, very soon classrooms will also be provided.

The lawmaker explained that this year’s payment is the 4th of its kind for all students to aim at motivating the younger ones for greater passion in education and provision of books for students from Primary 1-6. This is not based on party or affiliations but for all eligible students in Yagba to ensure a good standard of learning. At the grand finale, I will personally read my speech where I will address parents properly.

Hon. Leke assured the people that as long as he remains the representative of the people, he will continue to pay for the WAEC fees.
He enjoined parents who have children in the junior classes not to panic, this payment will always continue and will get to them as well.
He encouraged the students to focus on their academics and score good grades saying he wants a better future for them.

“I want you all to be better than myself, kindly read and pass”.

The lawmaker said, as a representative of the people, he would not rest on his oars in providing solutions to the needs of his constituency during his tenure of office.

He stated that more roads will be constructed in Yagba because people are facing a lot of challenges on our roads, rural roads will also recurve adequate attention.

He said that the constituents deserve the best, having enjoyed their unflinching support throughout his political sojourn.

Hon. Abejide said he’s not contesting for Senate in Kogi West and has not anointed any candidate, he advised others contesting for political office to demonstrate capacity by showing the people what they do before getting to the office.

He advised that the people should desist from insulting other politicians and political officeholders, stating that some of his programs are based on his love for the people and his act of giving.

“I love giving because God has blessed me before attaining this office, he charged other politicians to take up the challenge and reach out to the people”. Let’s take up the challenge of helping the people. He said.

The books were handed over to the representative of Yagba west local government education secretary, who was represented by Mr Ayodele Stephen, while the cheques were presented to the principals of all the schools in Yagba West.

Some of the beneficiaries parents in their various remarks thanked the lawmaker for the gesture especially in the aspect of Education, saying he has done excellently by craving a better future for the young ones, they prayed for Hon. Abejide, pledging their continuous support for him.
