It was an atmosphere of reminiscence of the great service years of a veteran academician, a seasoned disciplinarian, a renown retired secondary school principal/teacher and revered community developer, as the Honourable Commissioner For Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat paid a courtesy visit to his age long secondary school principal, teacher and disciplinarian, Chef I.A Jegede.
The visit, which the Honourable Commissioner consider – a dear desire fulfilled, obviously elated the spirit and physics of the host (Chief Jegede), so much so that, he submitted in his remark that, “though I use to believe and think that teaching is indeed a thankless job, and that however high and mighty, many and any of our student get placed in life, our roles as teachers gets hardly remembered, but this one, Barrister Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, has not just proven me wrong, but has also given me a cheering after serving year experience that comforts me immensely.” I can therefore say, that I am a fulfilled teacher”
The Honourable Commissioner in his remark, reiterates his thankfulness to the sincere disciplinary attitudes of his secondary school teachers. Most especially, his then school principal, Chief I.A Jegede. Saying that, it’s to those instilled principles, he owe his today’s character and achievements.
The curtain of the visit got drawn with light refreshments as provided by the family of our host.
