… As Hon. Leke Abejide Assurres More Seats would be won in 2023
The African Democratic Congress has promised to win more seats in the forthcoming 2023 General election in Kogi State with the promise that WAEC Fee will be free in Kogi State if the party takes over governance of the State.
Hon. Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives gave the assurances while giving his charge to newly elected Executives of the State Congress of the Kogi State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress.
The ADC held it State Congress today in Lokoja, saw delegates from across the twenty one local government areas converging at Kefas Multipurpose Hall to elect new officials to run the Affairs of the Party, saw hundreds of Members of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party joining the ADC.
Hon. Abejide urged the newly elected Executives to hit the ground running, leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the ADC becomes a household name in the Politics of the State.
While he promised to sustain his represention to further the Educational pursuit of people of his Federal Constituency, promised that his empowerment scheme and infrastructural development would be sustained.
Thus far he said he has paid WAEC fee for three year running, would do same for the forth time in the coming registration, says he makes bold to say he has touched lives in all house and household in Yagba Federal Constituency.
He described his words as his bonds, said 71 Communities are been empowers with project of N5m, said he has equipped hospitals in the federal Constituency, promised to provide textbooks to all schools in the Federal Constituency in the early part of the coming year.
The Lawmaker Assures of a bountiful Christmas and New celebration for widows in the federal Constituency, said motorcycles and vehicles would be shared during his mega empowerment program.
He said he is presently working on two federal roads, promised that he would in the next ninety days make the roads motorable, promised to focus on roads in 2022.
The Lawmaker called on men of integrity to join the ADC in the state, described the party as the party for the people, one that would develop the state in all areas of socio-economic development.
Earlier in a speech by the National Chairman of ADC, Chief Okey Nwosu, asked the newly elected Executives of the party in the state to up their game by winning more seat in the 2023 General election.
The National Chairman of ADC welcomed the new members commended those who joined the party for their courage in choosing the right party.
Chief Okey Nwosu praised Hon. Leke Abejide for doing the ADC proud, said his efforts is reason why hundreds of people are dumping their party to join the ADC, described him as a worthy representive of the party.
The National Chairman says Hon. Abejide is a man of outstanding character, said he is a man you can hold by his words, called on the people of the State to join the ADC because of him, described him as a shining star of the State and Nigeria in general.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected State Chairman of ADC, Hon. Ogga Temitope Kingsley, promised to justify the confidence reposed on him and his team by working assiduously to reposition the party for growth and development, assured of efforts to win more members to the party through a mobilization effort, solicited the support of all the members of the Party.
In a remarks, Chief Shola Adebola Samuel, Chairman, State Congress Committee, commended the delegates for their peaceful Conduct, described ADC as a work in progress, would win more seats in the National and State Assembly election in 2023, said the party will takeover the leadership of Governance in the state in the next dispensation.
He described the revolution brought into by Hon. Leke Abejide as reason why people are joining the ADC in drove, described him as a shining example for the positive development of the nation’s Politics.
The State Congress of the ADC was monitored by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission led by James Chide and other security agencies.
Highlights of the Congress was the Administration of oath of office on the newly elected Executives by Barr. Justina Abanida, who is the Deputy National Chairman of the ADC.
Similarly the new members were presented with ADC Party members cards by the North Central Zonal Chairman, with a charge to comb more nooks and crannies of the State to attract more members ahead the 2023 General election.
