Participants at the just concluded 2021 edition of the Nigeria Media Merit Award have adjudged Kogi State as one of the best States to have hosted the NMMA In the History Of 29th Edition Of The Award.
For four days, Kogi State Stood tall as host of the 2021 Nigeria Media Merit Award with participants expressing satisfaction with the pace of development under the leadership of Gov Yahaya Bello.
The four day event offered delegates from across the country opportunity to visit completed and ongoing project sites, described the ongoing construction of health institutions across the State as impressive.
Without overstating the obvious and from the interaction with the delegates, the State stood out tall amongst commity of State’s in the Nation in the area of road construction and the GYB Model schools across the State.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Kolade Otitoju of TVC and several others attributed youthfulness, courage, as qualities that has made the state witness pace and development amidst scarcity of resources.
Others who spoke with the Nigerianpost said until there visit to the state, they had always held on to wrong impression, but said the visit afforded them the opportunity to see for themselves the wonderful performance and transformation in the State.
Participants commended the track record of ability to enforce security, unity and peace in a large territory with difficult terrain like Kogi State as worthy of emulation.
Most of the award winners lauded the transparent manner of the selection process, said the state will remain a reference for standing out in the years to come for hosting the best edition of the NMMA Merit Award.
The 2021 edition brought about a thousand participants to the state from the media industry.
