As the Kogi State chapter of the Tailor Association of Nigeria celebrates it’s End of the years Get -Together and Launching of Twenty -Twenty- Two Almanac of the Women Wing, the President of the Association, Comrade Abayomi Martcy urged members to be productive and be proud of their profession.
The State President of the association Abayomi Martcy made the remark in a speech delivered during the celebration of the association in Lokoja .
Comrade Abayomi noted that tailoring profession began over a decade, the “World Imaging Without Tailor in the Garden of Eden “, adding that the world cannot exist without Tailor from childhood to old-age in human development.
He expressed satisfaction with the womenfolk for their uprightness in the profession, described them as a Pilar of the association and a workerholic in the noble association.
The president called on its members not to relent in their talets as tailoring profession is one of the fastest growing association where graduates of any academic profession join to become self reliant in the society.
In her speech, the Chairlady of the association, Mrs Blessing. F .Dauda use the occasion to thanked God for his protection to witnessed the day like this also commended members most especially Women Wing for their support and encouragement to move the association forward.
The Chairlady also praised the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaha Bello and their Patron, the Director General Government House Administration, Doctor Shaibu Oricha as well as the Senator Representing the Central Senatorial District, Senator Yakub Oseni for donating sawing machines to the association.
She promised to continue to serve the Union for the betterment of its members, saying that tailoring is the best described as one of the best profession in the society.
The Occasion witnessed the launching of the Almanac and selling of association cloths and the celebration of one of their members birthday and Award presentation to some distinguishing personalities for their outstanding contributions to the development of the association .
During the celebration, there are dancing competitions from different tribes within and outside the state who are residing in kogi State for tailoring profession.
Meanwhile, over eight sawing machines were donated to the association to increase their welfare by Senator Yakub Oseni, the Senator Representing the Central Senatorial District represented by one of his aid from Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
