The Executive Director ,Human Resources of National Taskforce,
Alaji Joseph Achimi has commended President Muhamadu Buhari for sending an executive bill to National Assembly for the establishment of the taskforce.
He said the bill was in tandem with the ECOWASS protocol.
This is as he lauded the Senate president, Dr Ahmed Lawal, the speaker of the House of of Representatives , Femi Gbajabiamila, members of the National assembly and National Security Adviser, Bagana Mungono for ensuring that the bill is passed on record time.
The Executive Director gave the commendation on the sidelines of the public hearing on the bill .
The human resources Director ,said, he has confidence in the acting Director General, Dr Baba Mohammed whom he acknowledged has enviable experience that will pilot the affairs of the Natforce to an enviable height
According to him ‘ The Nigerian Nation is descending and drifting
into a state of anarchy. The quantity and volume of arms in the
hands of criminal minded persons, is alarming.
“These arms are
readily been deployed into negative services, hence threatening
the peace and development of the nation.
“Armed Robbery and
other minor crimes are increasing daily and fastly graduating into a more life threatening actives of armed robberies,
kidnapping, banditry and communal crisis” He disclosed .
