Kogi @30: Kogite more united under Governor Bello led administration – Ogohi


 

The Kogi State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN), His Youthfulnes Usman Ogohi Samuel has described the Governor of the State, His Excellency Yahaya Adoza Bello as a unifying leader, capable of changing the fortune of the country.

Ogohi in an official statement issued to newsmen in Lokoja on Friday noted that Kogite were now more united than they were when the state was created 30 years ago.

According to him, the time has come when youths in the state needs to gather and reflect on the last 30 years, share experiences and chart a course for the future.

He recalled that due to political differences in the past, the state was faced with series of tribal and ethnic differences.

Ogohi further stressed that all thanks to the visionary Governor in Yahaya Bello, the days of skepticism, despair, suspicion and doubt had now given way to belief and confidence in a more united Kogi State.

Ogohi further make bold to say that Kogite at all level have come to live as one big, happy family and the State has continued to forge ahead in all indices of human, physical and economic development.

The Council boss further expressed gratitude to our founding fathers who made huge sacrifices to ensure the successful take-off of the State in 1991.

The NYCN Chairman also appreciated all elected politicians and political appointees who have served the state at various times and whose ideas, policies, programmes, and contributions have helped to raise the profile of Kogi to what it is now.

His Youthfulnes also paid tributes to his predecessors in the Council, for their immense contributions to the growth and development youth and helping to sustain the council even after they have left office.

He added that the new face and change of narrative of youth towards governance and leadership positions by Governor Bello has to a large extent inspire youth in the country to be more politically confidence with the belief of taking over and making her impact felt.

While lauding His Excellency on his giant stride achievements in education, health, agriculture, youth and women polical mobilization and empowerment, infrastructure, gender sensitivity, security and other areas of life, the Council further urged all Kogite to belief in the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello in repositioning the fortune of the state and the country at large come 2023.

He however assured the governor of the support of the over 2.2 million youths in the state and still counting and the voice of other youth in the country for their unflinching supports towards GYB to PYB race come 2023.

Ogohi however congratulated all Kogite for the 30th anniversary and prayed for a more prosperous and peaceful state ahead.
