Celebration of International Youth Day Lead by NYCN in Mopamuro.

The theme of International Youth Day 2021, “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”.

Young people are the social actors of change and progress. They are a crucial segment of nation’s development, therefore, their contribution is highly needed. Young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow – they’re making huge changes to the world around them.

Mopamuro youths were therefore gathered in the LGA Secretariat and they were sensitized on the need for them to be aware of their crucial role in the development of the nation and globe through sustained efforts in Transforming Food Systems by going into large scale farming and making sure that healthy food are produced for human consumption at local, state and national levels.

As youth are the leaders of tomorrow and is leading the change, they should be given a chance to take an active part in the decision-making of local, national and global levels. Understanding the fact that the young people can immensely contribute to the society, International Youth Day ensures that they have the ability, skill, motivation and recognition to continue to do so.
Happy celebration

Signed:
Comrade Gabriel Temitope NYCN Coordinator Mopamuro LGA.
