Each Community in Yagba Federal Constituency to Get N5m Project- Hon. Leke Abejide


 

Each Community in Yagba Federal Constituency are to benefit from a five million Naira by the member representing the Constituency, Elder Leke Abejide.

The Lawmaker made the promise during an interactive session with members of Kogi State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ.

There are seventy one Communities in Mopa Amuro, Yagba East and West Local Government Areas that made up Yagba Federal Constituency.

Plans have been concluded for each Community in the area to benefit from a five million Naira Project sponsored by the member representing the Constituency.

Elder Leke Abejide noted that the projects when completed will reduce the hardship faced by the people, saying some roads in Egbe, Isanlu and Mopa Townships will be rehabilitated before the end of this year.

According to him, about one hundred and eighty three million Naira have been paid for WAEC fees in the Constituency in the last three years.

The Lawmaker said he needed to focus on Education as a means of empowering the youths and to give them a bright future.

He itemized his achievements to include, provision of motorized boreholes, grinding and sewing machines, empowerment of over six thousand widows and distribution of hospital equipment worth fifty million Naira.

On the Speculation of his defection from the Africa Democratic Congress ADC to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Elder Abejide said the future is in the hand of God.

Earlier, the Chairman of NUJ in Kogi State, Alhaji Adeiza Momoh-Jimoh congratulated the people of Yagba Federal Constituency for electing a forthright Leader who is compassionate about their wellbeing.

Alhaji Adeiza said the Union has decided to confer an award on the Lawmaker at the next Press Week of the Council scheduled for September fourth and assured of the partnership of Kogi NUJ towards achieving set goals
