Eid El Kabir: ‘Seek God’s face for Nigeria, Kogi State’ – Hon. Sam Abenemi


 

The Deputy Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Sam Abenemi, has urged Muslims to celebrate Sallah by imbibing the lessons of total submission to the will of Allah that the festival preaches.

A Sallah message signed by the Deputy Chairman, said that in celebrating Eid-el-Kabir, people should be modest and use the period of the festival to seek Allah’s mercies for the country and also use it to further tighten bond of unity among Christianity, Islam and traditional religion.

He also pleaded with citizens, irrespective of religious persuations, to use the occasion to reflect on the virtue of the faith, service and total submission to the will of Allah, the foundation for their lives, because Eid-el-Kabir festival he noted symbolises the fear of Allah and desire of man to always comply with the wish of His creator.

The PDP Deputy Chairman, enjoined all Muslim faithful and the members of the PDP to continue to persevere and pray for peace and progress.

He urged for strict adherence to the teachings of Islam in the areas of love, brotherliness, piousness, peaceful coexistence as well as tolerance, which he pointed out will greatly assist to achieve the agenda for peace for the nation.

While he congratulated Nigerians, particularly members of the Kogi State Chapter of the PDP for witnessing yet another Eid El Kabir, Hon. Sam Abenemi prayed God to grant the people the Grace to witness many more celebration in the land of the living.
