Comrade Ismail Abdullahi Campaign Council has denounced insinuations making the rounds that their candidate, Comrade Ismail Abdullahi has stepped down from race for the position of Chairman, Kogi State Chapter National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
The campaign said; “For the avoidance of doubts; yes, our candidate was at a meeting in the instance of respected stakeholders from Kogi East last night and partook in the meeting.
“Yes, he was there as a respectful, obedient, law abiding aspirant who is interested in a peaceful process that would usher in a council under his leadership because he believes that he possesses all qualities needed to create a more robust youth council in Kogi State.
“But it was to the dismay of the campaign Council and our candidate that the deliberations at the meeting left a sour taste in the mouths of genuine stakeholders and our candidate, hence we condemn in totality any attempt to force a candidate on the rest of the aspirants who have better credentials to lead Kogi State Youth Council.
“It is in that light that we call on our supporters to maintain status quo and continue to canvass support for Comrade Smile because his intention is to make all Kogi youths proud when he becomes chairman.
“This is therefore stating categorically that Comrade Smile is still in the race and we are not allowing any side attractions to distract us from our goals. We are focused and ready as victory is sure in the end.
