
The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide has said that the roads in Yagba remain one of the major priorities.
As such, Abejide said he will do everything within his power to make sure some major roads in Yagba Federal Constituency gets to be constructed.
Hon. Leke visited the palace of His Royal Majesty the Agbana of Isanlu and chairman of the traditional council, where he was given a warm reception by the Chief’s and Elder’s council of Isanlu land.
While making his address, Hon. Leke saluted His Royal Majesty for staying firm as a father, he said he is proud of him.
“This is my community and Isanlu is home for me, reasons why I feel at home any time I’m here. He further expressed that he came for a mid-term constituency briefing and can not just pass without visiting the palace.
Hon. Leke Abejide said another reason why I am here today is to come and assess and get the contractor that will handle the road from the junction to the Palace to measure the road. During the Isanlu cultural day, I promised that I will come back to construct this road and today we have just come for the assessment of the road, while the work starts soon.
In the same limelight Hon. Leke Abejide took off to Egbe to also assess the road leading to Egbe Market from Ajaforunti.
Before now, commuting on the road had been a herculean task following the heavy downpours that damaged several portions, making the road almost impassable.
Elated by the intervention, commuters and residents yesterday commended the giant strides of Hon. Leke Abejide for the initiative, stressing that the construction of the road will help to boost the accessibility of the people to a good road.
“The palliative of the road and construction is evidence that Hon. Leke is on the side of the people.”
Hon. Leke said the road will serve as an alternative route for the people and after the assessment work will commence soon. He paid a visit to the palace of the Elegbe of Egbe, His Royal Majesty Irukera to greet him and also briefed him on the purpose of his visit.
The royal father thanked him for his dedications to community service, while he gave him a warm reception.
