The lawmaker representing the good people of Yagba East/West/ Mopa Amuro Federal Constituency Hon. Asiwaju Leke Abejide has congratulated the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning Kogi State, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris on his conferment as the new Bashorun Amuwajoye of Ogidi Kingdom.
Hon. Leke Abejide, Chairman House Committee on Customs & Excise, commended the unity of purpose exhibited by the Elders of Ogidi that resulted in the fair selection and recognition of the new Bashourun Amuwajoye.
Rep Abejide said the chieftaincy recognition came in line with the immeasurable contributions of Hon. Asiru Idris to the progress of Okun land, his worthy performance as a community leader, public servant and a bridge-builder across Kogi state at large.
“I want to express my happiness towards this great chieftaincy honour from the good people of Ogidi Kingdom.
This ascertains to me that your labour, dedication and doggedness is well known and adequately recognised beyond the shores of Yagba”.
I, therefore, identify with my brother, friend and partner in the upliftment of Yagba in all ramifications, a progressive mind, the new Bashorun Amuwajoye of Ogidi Kingdom, on this notable chieftaincy title.
