COETK Accepts offer to Begin Degree Awarding Programmes As FUL Study Centre.


 

The Management of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Kabba has
accepted the offer for the establishment of Federal University Lokoja (FUL) study centre in the College.

Recalled that the Provost, Mrs Jagboro Olusola Victoria had recently visted the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi and his Management team to seek partnership with the College.

In a letter signed by the Vice-chancellor of the University Prof. Olayemi
Akinwumi offering the COETK the offer, he said “the intent of this aimed to provide opportunity and greater access to Staff of the University to partake in attending the Academic Programmes.

He added too that the intent is to also allow those who are qualified but cannot enroll at the University’s main Campus in Lokoja due to the distance and many other Salient Factors.”

According to Prof. Akinwunmi, both Lectures and Semester Examinations will be held at College Campus in Kabba under the full administration of the University.

Degree Certificates will also be issued to deserving students at the completion of their programmes by the University Management and Senate as
and when due.

According to the Provost, COETK, Mrs Victoria Olusola Jagboro, the College is to run both Professional and Academic Programmes at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She said the acceptance follows the approval of the establishment of the study centre by the Management of Federal University Lokoja.
