As Children’s Day was celebrated indoors in most part of the country, on Thursday 27th May, The Former Chairmanship aspirant under the platform of the all progressive Congress Apc In Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State and Former State Coordinator Confluence Media Team (CMT) Comr Ameh Williams, has admonished parents to devote greater time to their children.
According to Williams “parents and caregivers, should devote greater time, and attention to the children, we must not leave the upbringing and character formation of our children to teachers alone; we should take greater responsibility for the sake of their protection, wellbeing and the orderliness of the society at large.
Comr williams, thank the New Direction administration lead by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, through his smart agenda, has taken various actions aimed at improving the welfare and security of our future generation, you do not want to give them fish, you are teaching them how to fish through the skills acquisition program with the aim of making them entrepreneurs and the results are beginning to bear fruits across the 21 local government areas of the State.
Even though the children’s day was celebrated indoors in most part of the country, Williams encouraged Olamaboro children to be of good morals and shun negative acts detrimental to their future.
Williams, who also acknowledged the efforts of the executive chairman of the local government Hon Adejoh N Friday, enjoined him to collaborate with the State, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Tourism to place a high premium on the total development and protection of children in Olamaboro, on which the continuous existence and progress of the local government, the State and the Nation depend.
