Commissioner Of Police responds to rumour that Mary Daniel is in their custody

Few weeks ago, the news about amputated single mother, Mary Daniel who hawks sachet water and bottle water in Oshodi was seen online. The news trended because of her story which seems so pathetic and that made many people to render help to her.

She claimed that her parents died in motor accident and that she lost her leg to the accidents. After this, she enjoyed sympathy and favour of men as top billionaires such as Mark Chinedu Ijeoma and Lagos State Government who raised 14 million and within days, her look changed.

Well, it will interest you to know that she lied about her parents and what caused her leg to be amputated.

The Lagos State government has detected that Mary Daniel Lied about her parents and her leg. It was discovered that her father is still very much alive and then secondly, the case of her leg didn’t happen in any car accident but it was learnt that she was amputated as a child.

It was earlier reported that she was handed over to the police but the commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu has said that she was not handed over to them.

Hakeem told The Nation that Mary was handed over to the officials of the social welfare and not them. He said: “The police were there but she was not handed over to us. She was handed over to the Social Welfare”.

Also stated that her present in Oshodi was was pre-planned by those working with her.

Reacting to this unexpected act of her and also to prevent others from cooking up lies so as to get money from the people, the Lagos State government has prevented her from gaining access to the N25 million given to her.
