… Hails Abubakar Ibrahim as Wazirin Jakandan
A former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. A. Y. Baba has sent a message of congratulations to former Gov. Ibrahim Idris on the conferment of the Traditional Title As the Jakandan of the Sultanate Council by His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar CFR III.
Similarly, the former member who once represented Idah State Constituency, also hailed the conferment of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim as the Wazirin Jakandan, described the conferment as well deserved.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Chairman Sokoto Traditional Council and Religious Leader of Nigeria’s Muslim Community yesterday in Sokoto honoured the former Governor and his son with the prestigious titles.
Hon. Baba in a statement said without mincing words, the title of the Jakadan, meaning an Ambassador of the Sultanate Council, aptly fits the former Governor.
He added that as Wazirin Jakandan, he was optimistic that quality advices would be made by Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim in moving the Sultanate Council forward.
Hon. Baba notes that the titles bestowed on the duo underscores the attachments the Ibro Family has for the caliphate, a place where they cut their teeth in businesses, described the duo as worthy Ambassadors per excellence.
Hon. Baba says the honour did not come as a surprise, pointing out that the former Governor and his son encapsulates all the attributes of a Quintessential Ambassadors and as an Adviser.
