The Sokoto State Command of the Nigeria Security and civil Defense Corp (NSCDC),has reiterated the Command’s commitment and determination towards ensuing that the core mandate for which the corp was established is actualised and realized. The commandant of the sokoto state command Umaru Musa Bala disclosed this to the Nigerian post correspondent in an exclusive interview he granted in his office at the sokoto state federal secretariat on Thursday 24th march 2021.He further noted that beside it core mandate which among others include protection of national critical assets and infrastructures, Registration of guard company and disaster management, the corp also play complementary role in ensuing peace and securing lives and property of the sokoto state people. The commandant further applauded the state Government for given the command the necessary support and assistance which has made it more easier for the officer and men of the command to Carry it duties. The Commandant also assures of the command’s collaboration and synergy with other sisters security organization to ensure a crime free environment where the security of lives and property is guaranteed. The Commandant called for concerted efforts in fighting crime and criminally, adding that security agencies can not do it alone the input and support of all and sundry is needed to ensure a crime free society.
