ICDA Appoints Augustine Akubo As SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO NATIONAL PRESIDENT ON PUBLIC AFFAIRS.


The Igala Cultural Development Association has appointed Mr. Augustine Akubo as SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO ICDA NATIONAL PRESIDENT ON PUBLIC AFFAIRS.

The appointment was contained in a letter which reads this:
APPOINTMENT LETTER AS SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO ICDA NATIONAL PRESIDENT ON PUBLIC AFFAIRS.

I’m pleased to inform you that the National Executive Council has approved your appointment as a Special Assistant to National President of ICDA, Alhaji Amodu Abubakar on Public Affairs.

This appointment is in view of your unreserved commitments to the growth and development of ICDA in particular and Igala Race in general,

While congratulating you on this appointment, we hope that you are encouraged to be more active in the affairs of Igala Kingdom.

The letter of appointment was signed by the Secretary General
ICDA, Ustaz Umaru U. Ogbo.

Below is a PROFILE OF DR. AUGUSTINE  AKUBO, DFC, ANIPR.

Augustine Akubo was Former Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly and Legislative Aide in the National Assembly, between 2012 and 2015, Augustine Akubo hails from Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Augustine Akubo, is an Author, Public Communications Expert,  Editor, Writer, trained professional Journalist, Broadcaster and Public Relations practitioner.

He holds Professional and academic Qualifications in Public Relations; and Journalism obtained from the University of Jos, International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He also obtained BSc in Public Administration with First Class Division from Salem University, Lokoja.

Augustine Akubo was also confered with Doctorate Fellowship in Communications (DFC), by the British Society of Commerce-Nigeria.

With several Articles and Publications, Dr. A. Akubo, is cited by many scholars around the world  on edu.com. One of his books published on SHESTCO Lecture Series was forworded by a Nobel Laurette nominee, late Prof. Awele Maduemezia.

With a multifaceted wide-service career, he has worked as Legislative Aide, National Assembly, Abuja,  Chief Press Secretary, Kogi State House of Assembly, Media Consultant and current Head of Information and Protocol Unit,  Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abuja.

He has attended many conferences on Integrated Marketing Communications, Legislative Duties, and Public Service.
He has represented Nigeria at the 2009 World Conference of Science Journalists in London, and visited several Research Institutions in the United Kingdom.
