The greatest thinker of the millennium, Karl Marx, started in his Eleventh Thesis, that “the philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point, however, is to change it.” Until your daring entry into our political firmament, this change remained elusive to most for whom it was pertinent.
Until your ingress, politics was scorned as a game for the vile, the misfit, and the layabout. It was of no interest to the serious-minded, as it lacked even the smallest scintilla of intellectualism, which has made for vibrant and effective leadership in other climes.
Until your episodic emergence, leadership and public office was conceived as an avenue for self-glorification, self-enrichment, and settlement of personal scores through the use of might.
You have, however, redefined leadership through your altruistic engagements anchored on the need to positively touch as many lives as possible even within the framework of lean resources. Through adroit engagements all of which are reshaping the education and wrenching it from its hitherto state of opprobrium, you have contributed to an avalanche of laws that are lifting our education society from want and despair.
What is more, by your natural humility and calm mien, you have maintained constant touch with the people, including the underprivileged, the lowly, and the deprived, a clear departure from the everyday politician’s larger than life disposition, thereby bridging the gap between those in power and the people and attenuating the existing trust deficit.
That you represent the face of the society we all crave for cannot be over emphasised. Indeed, our world deserves more men like you.
The essence of this treatise is to portray the factors that made this man of steel always relevant and constant as the northern star, as well as attracting development.
i) A father per excellence: Hon Wemi Jones has been a role model for many aspiring men who wish to venture into business and politics. He has taught through practical experiences that a man can be active in politics and also build a happy home. Common, We want a happy Constituency come 2023.
ii) Compassionate: Hon. Wemi Jones is very compassionate with the welfare of his people and humanity at large. His compassionate attributes and achievements as Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology inspired the people of Kabba Bunu / Ijumu Constituency and now calling on him to Contest 2023 and represent us. Today his excess capacity is raising a golden call for him to liberate our Constituency come 2023.
iii) Human Resource Development: Hon. Wemi’s human resource development program is second to none. He is already known to have the biggest and most viable political structure in Kabba Bunu because of his human development programs. Infact, Hon Wemi Jones is a political ideology in Kabba Bunu with massive followership.
iv) Transparency: Since his foray in politics and public life, one major factor that endears him to people is his honesty and transparency. Hon Wemi is a very honest, transparent and caring man. Just like a father, the joy, peace, happiness of his children and family both biological, political and constituent is very paramount to him. His deity posture in the society is determined by his transparent and honest approach to issues. Ladies and gentlemen, what else are we looking out for in 2023?
v) Excess Capacity For Good Governance: What makes developed countries progressive is their ability to designate the responsibilities of governance on individuals with pedigree of good governance. We have one here in the person of Education Commissioner, Hon Wemi Jones.
What a great day it is to celebrate our very own, a man with excess sauce, a man with excess capacity, a beacon of excellence and an intellectual par excellence.
Today, we all are celebrating you on your special day, and we pray that the good lord will continue to keep, guide, protect, uplift and impact you positively while nourishing you body and soul now and forever.
Today is a special day in your life and ours as well, it has been a great pleasure to have such a wonderful personality, truly dedicated, consciously hardworking, and conscientiously loyal to his works.
