Residents of Lokoja have described the constant interruption of water supply in the city as unbearable. Lokoja and it’s environs have been facing acute shortage of water supply for days now.
Regarding the irregular water supply timings; It is well known to the residents that the greater lokoja water works only supply water when there is light; But despite the availability of light, It has been more than 3 days since the water is not being supplied on its proper timing.
The residents are disturbed on account of unavailability of water supply which is the basic need of every human being. The situation had made life unbearable for families.
It’s also observed that some residents now rely on unwholesome water directly from River Niger and Wells despite its impurity and health risks as a result of the scarcity.
The residents seek the attention of Kogi State Government and Commissioner For Water Resources, *Hon Abdulmumin Danga* to please resolve the aforementioned issue of water interruption and shortage at lokoja metropolis.
