At Igala Unity Square, Karimi, Echocho Rally Igala Nation for Tinubu, Declare Unity Key to 2027 Victory

In a historic move to forge a common front for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Kogi East, the Chairman of Win With Tinubu Kashima Project, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, has declared that only a united Igala nation can deliver Kogi’s highest votes for the President in the 2027 presidential election.

Senator Karimi, representing Kogi West, who stormed the Igala Unity Square, Ayingba, was received by hundreds of enthusiastic Igala/Bassa residents who had waited patiently to receive the man who has in the last few months become the leading voice galvanizing Kogi State for President Tinubu.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Karimi described 2027 as a defining moment for Kogi East and Nigeria and urged the people not to be complacent. According to him, the mammoth crowd is a clear testimony of the love Kogi East has for President Tinubu and an assurance of a rewarding post-2027 era.

“2027 is not just an election, it is payback time. It is time to reward a President who has shown uncommon love for Igala land and Kogi East with our massive votes,” the Senator declared.

Senator Karimi was full of praises for President Tinubu, describing him as a bold, visionary, resilient and financially sagacious leader who took the most courageous decision in Nigeria’s history to rescue the economy from total collapse by removing the fuel subsidy that had become a destructive drainpipe on the nation.

He explained that the removal of fuel subsidy and harmonization of exchange rates, though initially painful, has freed up unprecedented resources for States and Local Governments, making it possible for them to pay salaries as and when due and embark on critical infrastructure.

“President Tinubu is working day and night to birth lasting solutions to our challenges. The temporary pains of today will give birth to a prosperous Nigeria of tomorrow. Mr. President is counting on Igala nation and has assured that he will do far more for Kogi East if re-elected,” he stated.

The Kogi West Senator listed President Tinubu’s deliberate show of love to Kogi East through key appointments, ongoing federal road projects and other interventions, assuring that more is coming. He particularly commended the President’s push for full Local Government autonomy as a revolutionary step to take governance directly to the people.

In a show of his personal commitment to the zone, Senator Karimi disclosed that he provided bursary support for Kogi East students in 2024, released N100 million for the same purpose in 2025, and will again deliver bursary in 2026 in the name of President Tinubu. He added that he has continued to provide palliatives to cushion the effect of the reforms on the people.

He emphasized that Kogi East, with the largest voting bloc in the state, cannot be taken for granted and called for a solid East-West alliance to deliver resoundingly for President Tinubu.

“The era of blaming the Federal Government is over given what Mr. President has done. Kogi APC is one united family. We must work as one for the overwhelming victory of President Tinubu,” Karimi charged.

In his welcome address, the National Coordinator of Win With Tinubu, Hon. Philip Sanni, said Senator Karimi’s visit to the Unity Square symbolizes renewed hope and a genuine desire to listen to the yearnings of the people. He noted that Kogi East holds a strategic place in the heart of President Tinubu’s administration.

Retired AIG Abutu Yaro, in his goodwill message, described the Tinubu administration as the most impactful for Kogi East in recent times and insisted that 2027 must be used to appreciate the President.

On their part, Kashim Akor and Akpa Omale, representative of the Senator representing Kogi East, called for aggressive grassroots mobilization, stressing that massive votes for Tinubu will attract more federal presence to the area.

The event climaxed with a unanimous resolution by the people of Igala/Bassa to stand solidly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his re-election in 2027 and a standing ovation for Senator Sunday Steve Karimi for his uncommon love and sustained support for Kogi East.
