CHILDREN ARE NOT SAFE UNTIL EVERY SCHOOL IS SAFE!

When Chibok happened, many of us thought it was far away. Then came Dapchi. The sit-at-home in the Southeast disrupted schooling, while farmer-herder clashes forced schools to close in parts of Oyo, Benue, Ogun and beyond. We could no longer pretend that our schools were immune.
Now, following the abduction in Oriire, Oyo State, and the reported incident involving corps members in Imo, pupils abducted in Borno months ago are still awaiting freedom.
How many more warnings do we need before school safety becomes everyone’s priority?
Join us tomorrow at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, for a crucial conversation with Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu; the Coordinator of the National Safe School Programme, Halima Iliya; and other key stakeholders, including NUT, ANCOPPS, NLC, TUC, NAPTAN, students and civil society representatives.
Your voice matters. Our children’s future is at stake.
Come, listen, ask questions and be part of the conversation on protecting our schools and securing the future of our children.
