SOUTH-SOUTH RESIDENTS IN KOGI STATE APPOINT ENGR. BASHIRU GEGU AS PATRON

The South-South Residents in Kogi State have appointed the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, popularly known as Sarkin Yaki, as their Patron.
The nomination was announced by the Special Adviser to the Governor on South-South Mobilization, Abu Michael, in a formal appointment letter personally signed by him on behalf of the Southerners and issued to Newsmen in Lokoja.
According to Abu Michael, the nomination of Engr. Gegu was informed by his proven track record of leadership, integrity and his immeasurable support for the South-South community over the years.
He described the Commissioner’s guidance and goodwill as invaluable, noting that his sterling leadership qualities made him most deserving of the honour to lead the South-South community in the state.
Abu Michael disclosed that the appointment of Engr. Bashiru Gegu as Patron will provide a strong platform to galvanize the South-South community in Kogi State towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He added that the leadership of Engr. Gegu as Patron will greatly assist in achieving the mandate as envisioned by Governor Ododo in bringing Southerners residing in Kogi State under one umbrella and providing direction that will help achieve the set objectives of unity, peace and political mobilization.
The Special Adviser reaffirmed the total commitment and loyalty of Southerners residing in Kogi State to the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
