NATIVE BOY CARE INITIATIVE RESCUES, KHADIJA ZUBERU FROM IDAH LGA, PAYS FULL COST OF SURGERY FOR CONGENITAL DYSPLASIA OF RIGHT TIBIA

Hope has been restored for Miss Khadija Zuberu, a young lady from Idah LGA, who has been battling with a debilitating medical condition diagnosed as Congenital Dysplasia of the Right Tibia.

Khadija, who had been in severe pains and unable to walk properly, was on the verge of losing her freedom of movement permanently due to inability of her poor family to raise the huge sum required for the corrective surgery.

Medical experts at the hospital explained that without urgent surgical intervention, Khadija risked permanent deformity.

It was in this moment of despair that the Convener of the Native Boy Care Initiative (NBCI), Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, intervened and came to her rescue by providing full payment for the surgery.
Following the payment, the team of doctors and the family of Khadija Zuberu have now come into agreement on the best surgical decision to be taken in order for her to regain her health, walk again and live a normal life.
The family, in an emotion-laden voice, expressed profound gratitude to Engr. Bashir Gegu, describing him as a God-sent and a true footsoldier of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo, the native boy who feels the pains of his people regardless of tribe or Senatorial District.
Speaking on the intervention, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu said the gesture is what the Native Boy Care Initiative stands for – Humanity First.
“When we heard about Khadija’s case, a young girl from Idah LGA facing such a painful condition, we couldn’t look away. Tribe does not matter to us. Kogi is one, humanity is one. We are happy to pay for her surgery in full. Our prayer is for a successful operation and quick recovery,” he said.
Engr. Bashir Gegu also used the opportunity to eulogize the visionary leadership at the federal and state levels:
He commended His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his bold and transformative Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly for his reforms in the health sector which is aimed at providing affordable and quality healthcare for all Nigerians and for giving hope back to the poor and vulnerable.
He also highly commended his Principal, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his people-oriented leadership, his massive investments in the state health sector, the revitalization of hospitals across the state, prompt attention to medical workers’ welfare and his humane disposition which has made interventions like this possible and meaningful.
“Under Governor Ododo, Kogi State health sector is receiving the attention it deserves. His Excellency is building a healthy Kogi State where no one is left behind,” Engr Bashir Gegu added.
