By joshua Erico Reaffirms Commitment to Okaba Community Development, Donates ₦10m to OCDA
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi East Senatorial Candidate for the 2027 general elections, Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, has reaffirmed his commitment to the sustainable development of Okaba community and a stronger partnership with its people.
He made the commitment during the inauguration of the Okaba Community Development Association (OCDA) National Executive Council (NEC) and community fundraising event held in the Federal Capital Territory, where he announced a ₦10 million intervention in support of the association’s development initiatives.
The event gathered prominent Okaba sons and daughters, traditional stakeholders, and community leaders to chart a strategic path toward sustainable development and civic infrastructure within Okaba land.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief. Erico reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining an enduring partnership with the people of Okaba, emphasizing that effective community building requires collective responsibility and grassroots engagement.
“My commitment to Okaba goes beyond financial contributions. It is about establishing a lasting partnership rooted in unity, shared progress, and collective responsibility. By joining hands, we can systematically address critical infrastructure needs and drive meaningful development across Okaba and the entire Kogi East district,” he said.
In his acceptance address, the newly inaugurated President of the Okaba Community Development Association, Alhaji Usman Alfa, expressed deep gratitude to Chief. Erico for his immediate response to the community’s developmental call.
“We are profoundly grateful to Chief. Erico for his remarkable generosity. This ₦10 million intervention provides a crucial boost to our strategic execution plan. It demonstrates his sincere dedication to human capital development and community upliftment,” stated Alhaji Alfa.
The newly sworn-in OCDA leadership confirmed that the donated funds will be deployed toward priority development initiatives and key welfare programs aimed at improving the living standards of the people of the community.
