By joshua 2027: Gov. Ododo Remains Our People-first Governor – South-South Leaders Resident In Kogi Declare Total Support For APC.
The leadership of the six states that make up the South-South region resident in Lokoja, Kogi State, have declared their unflinching loyalty and total support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made at a strategic stakeholders meeting held in Lokoja, convened by the Special Adviser on South-South Mobilization to the Governor, Mr. Abu Micheal, who also serves as President of South-South States resident in Kogi State.
Speaking at the meeting, Abu Michael said the sense of belonging, inclusion and purposeful leadership demonstrated by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, demands total loyalty and grassroots mobilization for the APC.
He described Governor Ododo as the best thing to have happened to Kogi State, praising him for running an open, inclusive and detribalized administration that has fully embraced non-indigenes, particularly members of the South-South community.
According to him, Governor Ododo has opened his hands wide and given Southerners in the state a genuine sense of home, a gesture that must be reciprocated with massive support.
“Gov. Ododo remains our people-first Governor. He deserves our support now more than ever before. Every sense of belonging and inclusion he has shown us demands that we stand with him and mobilize at the grassroots for the APC,” the Special Adviser stated.
Abu called for effective collaboration with the leadership of the South-South community across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, assuring that better days lie ahead for Southerners if the APC at all levels – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ododo and all APC candidates – are delivered in 2027.
In their separate remarks, the heads of the six South-South states comprising Delta, Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Edo States, unanimously assured of their resolve and readiness to mobilize their members massively to overwhelmingly vote for the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
They commended Governor Ododo for his people-oriented policies, security of lives and property, and his inclusive style of governance which has given non-indigenes confidence and opportunities to thrive in the state.
Highlight of the meeting was the constitution of three strategic committees – Sensitization Committee, Programme Committee and Activity Committee – to drive effective mobilization, engagement and coordination of South-South residents ahead of the 2027 general elections.
