KOGI WATER RESOURCES COMMISSIONER, ENGR. FAROUK FELICITATES AUDITOR-GENERAL, HON. ADABENEGE ON BIRTHDAY, HAILS HIS COMMITMENT TO ACCOUNTABILITY

The Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, has congratulated the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Governments, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, describing him as a thoroughbred professional and a strong pillar in the drive for transparency in governance.
In a felicitation message issued in Lokoja, Engr. Farouk said Hon. Adabenege has distinguished himself as a public servant of integrity whose dedication to due process and prudent management of public resources aligns with the vision of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo administration.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Water Resources and the entire water sector family, I join family, friends and associates to celebrate a quintessential public officer and a man of impeccable character. Hon. Adabenege’s commitment to accountability at the grassroots has strengthened governance and deepened public trust in our local government system,” the Commissioner stated.
Engr. Farouk noted that the Auditor-General’s wealth of experience, discipline and passion for service have made him a key partner in the Ododo administration’s efforts to ensure that resources meant for the people are judiciously utilized for the development of communities across the 21 LGAs of the state.
He further described Hon. Adabenege as a detribalized leader and a team player whose counsel and professionalism continue to add value to government business.
As he marks another year, the Commissioner prayed for God’s guidance, sound health and greater accomplishments for the Auditor-General.
“May Almighty Allah grant you long life in good health, more wisdom and the grace to continue to serve our dear state. Your best years are still ahead of you,” he prayed.
Engr. Farouk reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate with the office of the Auditor-General for Local Governments to ensure probity, efficiency and value for money in all water and sanitation projects across Kogi State.
He wished Hon. Adabenege a joyous celebration and many more fruitful years in service to Kogi State and humanity.
