… Describes Him as a Patriotic Leader and Bridge-Builder
The Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has received with deep shock and profound sadness the news of the passing of a respected elder statesman, Chief Dan Osi Orbih.
Chief Orbih was a patriotic Nigerian, a political strategist, and a bridge-builder whose commitment to democracy, national unity and the development of the country was unwavering.
In a statement issued on behalf of the party, the Kogi State PDP Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Sanni Gambo, said the death of Chief Orbih is a monumental loss not only to his immediate family and the PDP family, but to the entire nation.
“Chief Dan Osi Orbih lived a life of service, courage and dedication. He was a man of integrity who stood firm for the ideals of our great party and for a better Nigeria. His wealth of experience, wisdom and political sagacity will be greatly missed,” Hon. Gambo stated.
The Chairman noted that the late elder statesman played critical roles in strengthening the PDP at both state and national levels and remained a voice of reason and stability within the party until his last days.
“On behalf of the leadership, members and supporters of the Kogi State PDP, we commiserate with his family, the National Working Committee of our party, and all those who mourn this great loss. We pray that Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
The Kogi PDP pledges to honor the legacy of Chief Dan Osi Orbih by upholding the values of unity, service and commitment to the people that he lived and stood for.
