By joshua 2027: Win With Tinubu to hold grassroots town hall in Kogi East
The Win With Tinubu (WWT) Grassroots Mobilisation Programme has announced plans to hold a town hall meeting in Idah Federal Constituency, Kogi State, as part of its efforts to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027.
The State Programme Coordinator, Hon. Sani Philips, disclosed this in a statement issued in Lokoja on Monday.
Philips said the meeting was part of an ongoing grassroots engagement series across Kogi State aimed at promoting dialogue, highlighting the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda, building trust and mobilising support for the Tinubu administration.
He said grassroots mobilisation remained critical to electoral success, noting that elections were won not only through rallies but also through sustained engagement with communities and individuals.
“Grassroots mobilisation is fundamental to winning elections. Electoral victory is not determined solely by public rallies but by the connections we build within communities, in neighbourhoods and at the individual level,” he said.
The town hall, themed “Unity for Sustainable Development in Kogi East Senatorial District,” is expected to bring together political leaders, community stakeholders, party members, youth and women groups, traditional rulers and other stakeholders in Idah Federal Constituency.
Philips said the forum would provide an opportunity to discuss unity, continuity and sustainable development while allowing residents to express their concerns.
“The essence of the town hall meeting is to listen to the people at the grassroots, address their concerns, build stronger partnerships for development and ensure they feel part of the vision for a brighter future under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
The WWT leadership urged residents and stakeholders in Idah Federal Constituency to participate actively in the engagement.
Party members, community leaders, traditional rulers, youth organisations, women’s associations, professionals and other stakeholders were also encouraged to attend and contribute to the discussions.
The Kogi State WWT Grassroots Mobilisation Programme is sponsored by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West and Chairman of WWT, and Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho), representing Kogi East and Co-Chairman of the programme.
